Norway Northern Lights Package
Tromso or Alta with guided aurora chases and Arctic activities.
- Best months: late September to March
- Suggested length: 6–8 days, 3+ aurora nights
- Best for: Diwali and winter break
Trade Hyderabad's peak summer heat for cool fjords, or its familiar winter for Arctic snow and the Northern Lights.
Our Norway tour packages from Hyderabad are built around two very different reasons to travel. Between April and June, when Hyderabad is at its hottest, Norway's fjord country is cool and green, with daylight that barely fades. Through winter, when Hyderabad's own climate stays mild, Arctic Norway still offers something the city never sees at home: snow, sub-zero air and the Northern Lights.
We take care of the parts that make Norway tricky to plan alone: the one-stop flight from Hyderabad, the timing of the Flam Railway and fjord cruises, domestic flights to Tromso or Alta, hotels that suit Indian families, and the Schengen visa appointment in Hyderabad.

There is no non-stop flight from Hyderabad to Norway, so every trip includes one connection. The right hub depends on your arrival city and the time of year.
International flights leave from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Shamshabad. Allow 45–75 minutes from most parts of the city, and more during peak-hour traffic on the PV Narasimha Rao Expressway.
Book Norway's trains, cruises and domestic flights only after your Hyderabad flight is fixed, as winter delays and summer sell-outs can break tight connections.
For winter trips, buy thermal base layers in Hyderabad before you go. Heavy thermal suits are usually provided on Arctic tours.

Couples and honeymooners often travel after the winter wedding season for fjord-view stays or the Northern Lights. Senior travellers do best in summer, with rail and cruise rather than long drives. Corporate groups from Hyderabad's tech and pharma corridors choose Norway for incentive trips in summer and aurora retreats in winter.

No. There is currently no non-stop flight from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport to Norway. Most travellers connect once through a Gulf hub such as Doha, Dubai or Abu Dhabi, or a European hub such as Frankfurt or London, and land in Oslo. Total journey time is usually 12–18 hours.
Seven to ten days works well for Oslo, the Flam Railway, the fjords and Bergen. If you are adding Tromso or Alta for the Northern Lights, or Sweden and Denmark, plan 10 to 14 days.
Norway is one of the more expensive destinations in Europe. The cost depends on the season, hotel category, scenic rail and fjord cruises, Arctic experiences and flights. We share an exact quote once your dates and route are fixed, and our Norway trip cost guide gives typical budgets.
Indian passport holders need a Schengen visitor visa. You fill in the online application, then give your biometrics and documents at the Norway visa application centre in Hyderabad. Yes. When Hyderabad is hot and humid through April, May and June, the Norwegian fjord country is usually between 15°C and 22°C, with long daylight hours and, in the Arctic north, the Midnight Sun.
The aurora season in northern Norway runs from around late September to early April. Diwali and the Christmas–New Year break both fall in this window. Clear, dark skies matter most, so we plan three or more nights in Tromso or Alta. The lights can never be guaranteed.
Thermal base layers, a fleece, a warm insulated jacket, gloves, a woollen hat and waterproof boots with good grip. Many Northern Lights tours in Tromso provide heavy thermal suits, so you do not need to buy full Arctic gear in Hyderabad.
Yes. Scenic trains, fjord cruises, museums and easy nature walks work well for children. We keep transfer days manageable and choose family rooms, which can be limited in Norway, well in advance.
Vegetarian food is easy to find in Oslo and Bergen, which also have Indian restaurants. In remote fjord villages and Arctic lodges, choices are smaller, so we share your dietary needs with hotels in advance.
Yes. One Schengen visa covers all of them. Popular combinations include Oslo, the fjords and Stockholm, or Tromso with Finnish Lapland in winter.
International flights can be included or quoted separately. We help you choose a connection from Hyderabad that fits your onward trains, fjord cruises or domestic flights within Norway.
